Samsung is set to target the top end of the premium LED TV market with a new $10,000, 55″ TV that comes with its own touch screen remote and discreet pop down menu.
Housed in a smart looking stainless steel frame the Series 9 LED TV is set to be used to reinforce Samsung’s dominance in the LED TV market where they have dominated for the market share for the past 18 months.

The new TV which has Internet connectivity and 3D is set to be sold in selective stores. The winner of the CES 2010 top award the new TV has an auto-sliding touchpad which is accessed by swiping a finger along the bottom of the screen.

The Samsung Series 9 LED TV is the first television to be launched in Australia with am intelligent touch-screen
remote control. With a three inch colour display, the remote features a live feed of the program you’re currently watching or the live feed of the program on another channel you don’t want to miss.
The remote also has a speaker and headphone jack, which allows a user to take your TV anywhere around the home so you’ll never miss a moment of your favourite program said Samsung.
The news series 9 is a DLNA-enabled device which can be controlled with one remote, a QWERTY keyboard via the touch-screen. It also has integrated Wi-Fi and infrared technology for content streaming.
