Track Your Photos With Lumix GPS Camera

Panasonic has launched a new digital camera that comes with a 25mm wide angle lens, 12x optical zoom, HD video recording, and GPS that can pinpoint where the photo is taken.

The Lumix DMC-TZ10 is a 12-megapixel camera that comes with a built-in GPS so that accurate geographic locations can be displayed in real-time and recorded for easy file management and post-holiday sorting. It also features a 25mm ultra-wide-angle lens, 12x optical zoom (35mm camera equivalent: 25- 300mm), and AVCHD Lite HS video recording.

Panasonic Australia’s Product Marketing Manager, Tanya Mudge said, “The slim, new LUMIX DMC-TZ10 is the pocket-sized powerhouse in the 2010 LUMIX line-up. Boasting an impressive list of advanced capabilities and versatile features, such as AVCHD Lite video recording, it offers a world of photographic possibilities.”

“With the new TZ Series, Panasonic has expanded the frontiers of a compact camera, creating slim, easy-to-use models with superior optical performance for breathtaking images and HD video, giving the user a richer, more rewarding photography experience,” added Mudge.

The Panasonic DMC-TZ10 and DMC-TZ8 come with an Intelligent Auto mode that reduces blurred shots caused by hand shake. POWER O.I.S offers twice the shake suppression power of previous models, ensuring a higher degree of compensation for low-frequency vibrations.

In addition, both models now feature a new manual exposure P/A/S/M mode, giving advanced users greater creative control. This allows the photographer to experiment or precisely control each exposure by adjusting shutter speeds and apertures to achieve the desired result.

Both cameras feature an Intelligent LCD with a wide viewing angle. The screen brightness automatically adjusts in 11 steps as the surrounding brightness level changes, ensuring easy visibility at all times. The DMC-TZ10 offers a 3.0-inch, super-high-resolution 460,000-dot screen while the DMC-TZ8 features a 2.7-inch, 230,000-dot LCD. Additionally, the DMC-TZ10’s LCD features an Anti-Reflection (AR) Coating.

The Panasonic Lumix DMC-TZ10 and DMC-TZ8 will be available in April 2010 with an RRP of $699 and $599, respectively.
