A new software application turns a range of smartphones into sophisticated personal satellite tracking system.
The developer says the main purpose of MySpot V.3 Tracking and Safety Phone Software is designed to allow night security guards, forestry workers, electricity linesmen, mental health workers and many more “at risk” lone workers to broadcast a pre recorded “one click” instant emergency SOS message via voice, text and email calling for help and giving their exact location.
The unit instantly sounds an audio alarm and “red flags” the worker’s exact location using data on a Google Map – plus an “electronic breadcrumb” display of the route the worker has been following immediately leading up to the emergency call. The software can also be programmed to send a SOS location emergency call if the worker is unconscious or has had an accident and is unable to turn off the “Panic Button” after a pre arranged set time has elapsed.
The software works with any telco, is Symbian approved, easily downloaded and installed and doesn’t affect existing functions.
