Having recently given us its version of an HD-enabled compact, Fujifilm has released a cheaper series of compacts aimed at the family market.

The FinePix J100, FinePix J120 and FinePix J150 each have a 10-megapixel CCD to provide high-quality images claims Fujifilm. They are also equipped with a Fujinon 5x optical zoom lens enabling images to be produced as 10-inch x 8-inch prints or larger.
All cameras have ISO sensitivity to 1600 to ensure best results from shooting in low light conditions; software-based face detection with automatic red-eye removal; picture stabilisation; continuous shooting; 12 different shooting programs; movie recording at 30fps with sound; and an internal memory of 24MB.
The key differences between the units are the focal length and LCD screen sizes.
The FinePix J150 offers a 28mm focal length (35mm equivalent) at its widest and a telephoto range up to 140mm (35mm equivalent).
By comparison, the FinePix J100 and FinePix J120 have telephoto ranges that extend to 175mm (starting at the standard 35mm), drawing the furthest subjects closer without compromising on image quality.
A FinePix J100 comes with a 2.7-inch LCD screen, while the FinePix J120 and FinePix J150 offer a 3-inch LCD screens. The screens comprise 230,000 dots and are amorphous silicon TFT LCDs.
All units are encased in a high grade brushed aluminium metal shell that is 22.6mm wide and each comes with a rechargeable NP-45 lithium-ion battery and BC-45A charger.
Other accessories include a hand strap, USB and A/V cables, CD-Rom, FinePixViewer /FinePixViewer and an owner’s manual.
