The MusicStation is easy-to-use and does not involve the hassle of a credit card, computer, wires or internet connection. The MusicStation application can be downloaded free from Vodafone live! and opened at the touch of a button from the menu screen.
Subscribers can browse new music or search by artist, song or genre to download tracks, which are saved to their mobile phone memory and are accessible for the duration of their subscription.
When a customer upgrades to a new handset or if they need to replace one that is lost or stolen, MusicStation will automatically restore their music, playlists and preferences.
Head of live! Services at Vodafone Australia, Karen Paterson said, “Today’s announcement is a huge leap forward for the Australian music industry. Vodafone is changing the way people experience music on the move. We’re making music on your mobile so easy to use and such good value that using it will be as effortless and spontaneous as making a phone call.”
Vodafone is currently offering a free one week trial of MusicStation. At launch, MusicStation is available to download on nine handsets: LG KU990 Viewty, Nokia 6121 classic, Nokia E65, Nokia N73, Nokia N95 8GB, Sony Ericsson C902, Sony Ericsson W880i, Sony Ericsson W890i, and the Nokia 6210 Navigator. The Nokia 6210 comes with the MusicStation application preloaded.
