Colour-Coded Barbies For Sports Fanatics

Taking two great Aussie past times to the nth degree, Beefeater is launching a limited edition series of barbecues designed in the colours of your favourite AFL or NRL team, plus a green and gold version for those more parochial about their country than their local team.

In a world first, Australia’s premium barbecue maker, BeefEater, has launched the Signature ‘Supporter Series’ for sport die-hards who want a barbecue that will showcase their club or team loyalty – and their grilling skills.

Backyard rivalries with mates and neighbours are expected to heat up now that Swans supporters can grill in red and white, Roosters loyalists can add a splash of blue and red to their backyard and Wallaby supporters can now fire up the green and gold to stoke the flames of national sports pride.

Barbecue and sport make a dream team for many Australians, with 43 percent saying barbecue is the best food for watching sports, according to an independent study on the barbecue rituals of 1,000 people commissioned by BeefEater. In addition, 40 percent said they plan to barbecue during the AFL Grand Final and 28 percent said they will barbecue during the NRL Grand Final.

The rang is a 4-burner BBQ featuring a porcelain enamel roasting hood, galvanised heavy-duty cabinet trolley, high output cast iron burners, stainless vaporisers, rust-free porcelain-coated cast-iron cook tops, quartz-start ignition, and warming rack.
