Telstra and Motorola have unveiled a new Hiptop Slide that offers the same unlimited IM, MMS, text messaging, and Internet surfing capabilities as the old unit, except this time, it comes in red.

Customers purchasing the Hiptop Red handset can connect it to a Telstra $30 per month unlimited data plan, over 24 months, which includes great features like IM, email, internet, real web browsing, MMS and Text Messaging.
Telstra Consumer Segment Director, Tim Copper said, “The Hiptop slide has virtually all the features you could want to express yourself; instant messaging, SMS, web access and more. And with the new stylish red colour, it’s the essential gadget to have this season to be in touch.”
Available exclusively on the Telstra network, the Hiptop slide allows you to make calls, surf the web, meet friends on MySpace.com, Yahoo and Windows Live Messenger, as well as send and receive e-mails.
Motorola Australia & New Zealand’s National Marketing Manager, Stephen Amiet said, “Motorola is excited to launch the newest colour in the Hiptop range, which is taking Australia by storm. This sleek new handset in red continues Motorola’s ongoing commitment to providing the coolest devices on the market with the latest in innovation and design.”
Telstra has also partnered with MySpace to develop an amazing MySpace Mobile experience for Hiptop users. One can exclusively download the MySpace Mobile application from their Hiptop device, allowing a user to update their profile and check their messages on the go.

The Hiptop Red is now available exclusively on the Telstra network with an RRP of $679.
