Panasonic Australia has introduced two new models in their range of portable DVD players – the DVD-LS86 and DVD-LS83 – designed so passengers can enjoy entertainment when travelling by road, train, plane; or for at-home viewing.
Both models are equipped with an ultra-bright 8.5-inch widescreen LCD display and feature free-style viewing, which allows the screen to be adjusted for flexible viewing angles. The screen can even be folded flat to create a tablet while the controls remain accessible.

An integrated rechargeable battery provides long playback time, allowing uninterrupted entertainment. The DVD-LS86’s battery gives users up to 13-hours of battery life and the DVD-LS83 has up to 6 hours.
The new models offer versatile multi-format playback with compatibility for playback of DVD-Video, DVD-RAM, DVD-R/RW, DVD+R/RW, CD, SVCD, Video CD and CD-R/RW. Additionally, both models can play back DivX, JPEG, MP3 and MPEG4 content.
The DVD-LS86 also features an iPod input (with audio and video), so you can watch movies and listen to music directly from your iPod.
Both players have Electronic Skip Protection allowing use in the back seat of a car without being affected by bumps or unexpected movement. Twin headphone outputs allow two people to enjoy a DVD without disturbing others – suitable for passengers sitting in the back seat or travellers on public transport.
Another feature of the DVD-LS86 is a Car Headrest Mounting Kit for optimal in-car viewing. Both models include a car DC adapter to charge or power the unit, to offer continuous use on long journeys.
Depth Enhancer and MPEG Digital Noise Reduction technology deliver a clear and crisp picture and sound. Outstanding sound is achieved with the inclusion of Dolby Digital and DTS technologies, for high-quality, 2-channel audio playback. Side-mounted stereo speakers, either side of the LCD screen, provide great sound.
