Westinghouse has launched a new range of fridges designed specifically for small spaces in a bid to cater for the growing number of Australians who live in high-rise dwellings.
Based on Government statistics, Australian households have decreased from 3.6 people per household in 1954 to 2.6 in 2001. This figure is projected to decrease further in future.
Westinghouse says based on these figures, coupled with the growth of high-rise apartment living, it has launched its new Top Mount refrigeration range targeting tight kitchen spaces.
“The kitchen has always been the hub of any home so as more Australians opt for modern apartment living and the older generation continue downsizing from the large family home, it’s important to have appliances that reflect the needs of the household like fully flexible fridge interiors that put you in control of your fridge layout,” said Electrolux Group Marketing Director Nicholas Gibson.
The new range comprises of six models ranging in capacity from 200 to 340L which feature a range of interior storage configurations to suit individual household needs.
“In an inner city apartment where occupants don’t often have the luxury of a bar fridge in addition to their kitchen fridge, it’s great to be able to have the flexibility to move shelves around to fit a case of beer, extra tall bottles, a seafood platter or a nice big summer watermelon,” he added.
The fridges are available in either a classic white or pacific silver finish.
RRP: from $669
