Philips Launches Multifunction Bluetooth Headsets

Philips has announced its new range of Bluetooth headsets for mobile phones, MP3 players and PCs. The company claims that these new Bluetooth headsets will ‘offer total convenience without compromising on personal style.’

The new Philips SHB6100 Bluetooth Headset

The new SHB6100 and 6102 headsets come with an ‘OptiFit’ neckband that features an ‘innovative centre balanced design’ with an adjustable earloop for easy adjustment. Philips’ SHB7100 and SHB 7102, on the other hand, sport a metal clip that allows a user to put the headset around the neck or clipped to clothing. Both of headsets feature the ‘TailorMate’ concept that makes it compatible with any earphone that has a 3.5mm jack and feature the SwitchStream function for one-touch toggling between Music and calls, the company says.

Philips has also optimised its range of Bluetooth headsets for compatibility with a wide range of entertainment and communication devices.

All Philips Bluetooth headsets work with most Bluetooth stereo music phones and support the A2DP, AVRCP, HFP and HSP Bluetooth profiles. The addition of a 3.5mm Bluetooth audio adapter to the SHB6102 and SHB7102 headsets turns even non-Bluetooth enabled MP3 players into wireless music sources.
