Easy-To-Use Electrolux Smart Oven

Electrolux has launched a series of smart ovens which it claims are so to easy use that you don’t need a manual, thanks to a new intuitive interface.

The company says with the new IOI interface, all the complicated functions have been stripped away, there are no ambiguous international symbols, programming appears line-by-line so you can see what you’re doing, and selecting between cooking, clock and timer mode has also been made simple.

“The IOI technology was born out of extensive research which highlighted that the majority of people don’t know the difference between their oven’s different cooking functions; they stick to one or two that they know,” said Electrolux’s Lars Erikson.

“Many don’t know how to use their oven’s features; they have difficulty setting the cook time or even the clock display. The main reason is confusing symbols or hidden layers of information.”

“Our goal with IOI was to give users confidence, by stripping away complicated functions to enable users to get the most out of their oven and actually use all the modes and features that they have paid for,” he said.

The series includes models with capacities ranging from 80L to 160L, and oven functions ranging from eight to 18. Pricing starts from $1689 for the entry-level up to $3169 to the top end.
