Quick GPS Fix

TomTom has launched a free service that allows GO users to fix the position of their device within seconds of switching it on.

The QuickGPSfix predicts the orbits of the satellites that provide location details for up to seven days.

These predictions are then sent to TomTom devices when they are connected to a computer with TomTom HOME.

This means that even if the device is switched off for a number of days, a fix can be obtained within a few seconds.

HOME is available for free from the TomTom Web site at www.tomtom.com
