The latest chapter in the aerial combat series, Ace Combat, for Playstation2 is now available. The new game, titled Ace Combat: The Belkan War, promises to answer all the questions surrounding the conflict in Ace Combat: Squadron Leader.
A choice of over 30 licensed aircraft awaits you as well as a range of enemy squadrons, each led by rival ace pilots.
Sony says this game is a mix of interactive drama and action – whereby via the ‘Ace Style Gauge System’ the combat and flying styles you choose are assessed by rival pilots and affect the missions and enemies you will face.
Sony also promises improved enemy artificial intelligence – so you can expect some pilots to team-up or choose to take you on in one-on-one dogfights. A two player mode also allows you to take on a friend in split-screen dogfighting action.
