MYOB Launches RetailEnterprise v3

MYOB RetailEnterprise v3 is now available with new features that MYOB says will enhance communication among multi-store retailers.

Central to the latest version are improved communications between a central office and stores.

MYOB RetailEnterprise v3 is a reporting tool for multiple stores, buying groups, retail co-operatives, and franchise operators, MYOB RetailEnterprise acts as the hub of the MYOB RetailManager family connecting with any number of licensed MYOB RetailManager installations to provide a powerfully-networked point-of-sale management solution. Formerly called MYOB RetailManager Enterprise, it provides a global central view of an organisation’s retail operations.

MYOB RetailEnterprise lets users choose how they want to communicate with each shop. They can connect via a dial-up connection, a local or wide area network, and even email. If a user has a broadband connection, they can take advantage of this “always-on” connection to get updated anytime, instantly.

Each shop can also nominate the communication method they would like to use. They can either accept the central office’s chosen communication method, or send messages via email.

MYOB’s Spiro Vournazos said “Following some extensive product development, this version of RetailEnterprise sees some dramatic improvements to its speed and communications capabilities, giving users the absolute confidence to review an operation’s performance, run reports, collect information from each and every shop, and manage and share a central inventory database with all your stores.

Some of the new features included in MYOB RetailEnterprise v3 are
the:

* in-built e-mail functionality that allows users to communicate
  between central office and the shops, eliminating the need for
  separate e-mail software

* copy message feature, which is useful if head office needs to
  resend a message or use the existing message as the basis for a
  new one.

* product update transfers feature that allows users to manually
  create product updates by specifying a list of products that need
  to be sent to shops.
