LG has unveiled the first chocolate that won’t go straight to your hips – the new LG ‘Chocolate’ phone, a.k.a. KG800.
The ‘Chocolate’ phone is the first of LG’s Black Label Series of mobile phones, which the company said has been designed with sleek styling and minimalism in mind.
LG describes the new phone as “Rich, decadent, smooth and slim.” “Rich” in internal memory, with a storage capacity of 128 MB, “Decadent” picture and sound quality, with an inbuilt 1.3 megapixel camera and music player, “Smooth” in navigation, with a touch keypad and “Slim” in its 15.2 mm width.
“We can now see that consumers are choosing handsets that reflect their personality, style and attitude rather than simply choosing a handset with the latest feature, as was the case only a few years ago. The ‘Chocolate’ phone was developed representing LG’s firm belief that technology is nothing without design,” said LG’s Carli Wilson.
LG said ‘Chocolate’ has already won an iF Design Award and a Red Dot Design Award for its unique styling and user interface, and that over 300 000 ‘Chocolates’ were sold in the first three months of the phone’s launch in Korea.
The new ‘Chocolate’ phone is also guaranteed to leave you feeling a bit lighter – in the pocket, that is, with its $799 price tag. Well, chocolate can’t be completely guilt-free.
