Sony Release New 20GB Walkman

Weeks after the release of their 6GB player, Sony has announced its new 20Gb model.

The NW-A3000 20GB music player has the same streamline design, is available in signature violet colour or silver, and offers intelligent and intuitive shuffle features.

Chips Pang, Product Manager, Personal Audio at Sony Australia said, “Sony is pleased to release a higher capacity WALKMAN with the same distinctive design and intuitive features as its 6GB counterpart.

“The 20GB WALKMAN players are capable of delivering the highest quality sound and holding up to 13,000 songs1. Artist Link, My Favourite Shuffle, and Time Machine Shuffle are the player’s intelligent functions all unique to WALKMAN. Sony is confident the new model will appeal to old and new WALKMAN fans alike”, Pang said.

Further strengthening Sony’s reputation for phenomenal battery life, the 20GB WALKMAN can operate up to 35 hours on just one charge, the company claims. Speeding up the charge, the in-built batteries will reach their full capacity in less than three hours with the supplied AC adaptor.

CONNECT Player, the new easy-to-use WALKMAN software package, provides advanced functionality to make managing a music library even simpler. This next generation WALKMAN model now supports both native MP3 and WMA files2, also enabling playback using ATRAC3plus which together deliver the best possible battery life along with excellent sound.

The 20GB WALKMAN comes with colour matched headphones, AC power adaptor, USB cable, the CONNECT Player software CD-Rom, and is now available in electronics stores across Australia, including SonyCentral, for $449.
