Error 3200: Apple new OS 5 has skidded after a phenomenal spike in demand. Similar to BlackBerry’s service crumble earlier this week, Apple too fell under the pressure from enormous demand prompted by the global release of the iOS 5 software update yesterday.Apple downloaders were met with “internal error occurred (3200)” message, each time an attempt was made by an iPhone 4, iPad or Mac owners. The download took up 600MB, which may have proved too much for many ISPs and Apple’s servers to handle, apparently.
One Twitter user described it as “the equivalent of an Internet traffic earthquake.” while another tweeted:”Apple almost broke the Internet; unprecedented levels of usage”.
9 to 5 Mac also reported users experiencing difficulty downloading OS X 10.7.2, and the various other app updates yesterday following the traffic explosion. However, 9 to 5 also blamed ISPs.

‘Intermittent slowness’ and ‘authentication errors’ were among the issues reported.
However, iPhone guru Jay Freeman wrote: “To anyone getting ‘An internal error occurred’ (3200) while installing iOS 5.0, Apple’s servers are swamped, and failing half the requests.”
“Users may have been unable to backup their data. Normal service has been restored. We apologize for any inconvenience.” Apple wrote on its iCloud support site yesterday.
However, by 12:08 PDT service was restored, Apple iCloud support said.
iCloud is Apple’s “breakthrough” free remote storage service, pushing iTunes, Photo Stream and Documents, that work with all Apple devices.
This jostel for the new OS comes as iPhone 4S which went on sale in Australia and US today – the first new Apple device to run iOS 5. Shops here including Apple Store, Telstra and Vodafone have all opened since 8am.
