Hello Moto: Telstra Nabs Razr HD, M

Telstra to grasp both Moto Razrs it confirmed today.
Two out of three ain’t bad: Telstra will stock Motorola’s just announced Razr HD and M 4G ready smartphones.

“Our friends over at Motorola Mobility have been busy preparing some blockbuster smartphones. Overnight they announced three new models and we’re pleased to confirm that we’re brining two to Australia,” Andrew Volard, Director
Device Management, wrote on Telstra’s blog.

The new Google-owned Motorola Razr M has a 4.3-inch Super AMOLED Advanced screen (edge-to-edge), while the Razr HD is slightly larger at 4.7-inches with the same res. as an HDTV.

Both smarties also run Android 4.0.4, Ice Cream Sandwich, with the usual slew of Google apps like Maps, Chrome for Android, YouTube, Play Store and so forth.

M is available for US$99.99 but no local pricing as yet. Both Motorola Razr HD and M will be coming to Telstra “exclusively” in the final three months of the year.

Both devices are 4G LTE ready, which will suit Telstra since it is looking to push its next gen  LTE network launched last year – and already it has close to half a million users, making it the biggest 4G network in OZ.

Optus just launched its service last week.

“We’re pretty excited by these upcoming additions to our 4G smarpthone range, says Volard.

Moto’s third device which Telsra won’t carry is Razr Maxx HD.

Telsyte’s Fadaghi said the new Motorola range of smartphones provided “a formidable option” for consumers that were interested in an Android handset, “however it faces stiff competition with most models having similar feature sets”.
