Samsung Galaxy S 3 has the blues. Literally. This has not been a good week for the proclaimed S III.
First, there was the news Apple was seeking to block the sale of the hyped S III in the US accusing Samsung of infringing at least two of its patents (out of a possible 4). Ouch.
Apple have now applied for a preliminary injunction to a US court seeking to block the sale of the S III, which is served up with 4.8″ HD screen, Android Ice Cream Sandwich 4.0 as well as a bundle of new innovations like S-Voice, and Near Field Communications for tap and touch payments.
The iPhone maker requested Samsung delay the June launch (the device was launched here to much fanfare on Friday last) of the Galaxy S3 until the court rules upon the preliminary injunction.

However, Samsung refused and looks set to release the Galaxy S3 as planned.
And the cool colours Samsung are dishing out the S 3 in – ‘marble white’ and ‘pebble blue’ are also landing the Koreans in trouble – there is now said to be significant delays on the availability of the blue version of S3, reports GSM Arena.
This was confirmed by Samsung last week, who said “a short supply of Pebble Blue version is expected in some regions in the next 2-3 weeks.”
“Samsung’s Galaxy SIII Pebble Blue version comes with a newly invented blue colour and special hyper-glaze material.”
This delay is due to the Galaxy S III makers being forced to recall 600,000 pebble models, just weeks after it going on sale, due to manufacturing issues regarding the paintjob and the panels’ material.
Sammung is now pulling back all blue Galaxy S III units in order to replace the panels, says GSM sources.
However, no local recalls have occurred, Samsung Australia told Fairfax Media.
But the delays may affect supply of blue Galaxy into the Oz market. The S III went on sale in Oz last Friday and is available in Marble White only.
