Samsung Saves The Best For Last: 110″ UHD TV

Samsung has taken the wraps off the World’s biggest Ultra High Definition television. The title is shared with other vendors, such as Westinghouse, Hisense and TCL, but deep down we’re keen to see what the leading television company can do with Ultra High Definition.

Ultra High Definition TVs feature twice the resolution and four times the number of pixels, delivering unprecedented levels of clarity.

The TV is taller than Samsung’s executive and framed by shimmering easel scaffolding. Although Sony’s 84 inch UHD TV relies on a similar skeleton, Samsung’s take on it is far more artistic.

Be warned: don’t fall in love with this 110 inch leviathan because it’s only a prototype. And we’d hate to break your heart further, but the odds are against you affording one in the first place.

Currently LG and Sony have smaller UHD TVs in the market and they cost $18,000 and $25,000 respectively.

Samsung did showcase an 85 inch UHD television which borrows the same aesthetic styling. Their CES stand is a smorgasbord of cutting-edge television technology which includes petite OLEDs, 55 inch curved TVs and a range of UHD goodies.

They were rivalled closely by LG who also showcased a $12,000 OLED television (due to go on sale in March), curved 55 inch OLEDs  and a range of UHD TVs.
