Although Samsung and Nikon have Android cameras in the market, the Polaroid camera will be the first compatible with interchangeable lenses.

A Russian website leaked images of the at-the-time unconfirmed camera, but since Polaroid’s president and CEO confirmed the camera to Imaging Resource, saying:

“There will be an Android powered, interchangeable lens camera introduced by Polaroid at CES 2013,” Scott Hardy wrote in an email.
“Additional information and specs will be released during the show.”

The camera resembles Nikon’s mirrorless J1.

Reports indicate it will be running Android Ice Cream Sandwich, which is a couple of generations old. However, it remains compatible with Google Play’s 600,000 applications.

It is believed to be called the IM1836, will come with an 18.1 MP sensor, feature a built in flash, WiFi, HDMI output, MicroSD memory and a 3.5 inch touch screen.
