JB Hi Fi has secured a prime position right in the heart of North Sydney for a new Express store.Located at the bottom of Mount Street, right next door to Aldi, the 890 square metre store will stock most consumer electronics products with the exception of TVs.
A former food court, the new street level store is where thousands of people pass everyday with analysts tipping that the location is one of the best in North Sydney.
Their nearest competitors are Officeworks and Dick Smith.
According to JB Hi Fi Marketing Director Scott Browning the Company has had a lot of success with their smaller footprint stores.
“We recently opened a store in Broadway in Sydney and we are more than happy with the traffic we are getting through this smaller footprint store. Originally we were concerned that the location would cannibalise traffic from our World Square store but this has not happened. The new North Sydney store will stock all categories except TVs, home theatre & car sound as per our standard Downtown CBD offering” Browning said.
The new store opening is planned for late January to early February 2013.
