Kogan Customers Up In Arms Over ‘Cheap’ iPhone 5 Deals

Kogan online customers are up in arms after the notorious PR spruikers failed to deliver their “cheap” iPhone 5 smartphones, as some customers claim they were promised. Now refered to as the “Bogan” online retailer, their actions are now being refered to as “slimey” by customers writing on Whirlpool.

One customer called Bazzawong said he had contacted representitives from the online retailer and was told “that things had changed and that all clients who placed an early order last week at the $100 discount would be receiving an email later today notifying them of changes to their delivery/order status.”

“I’ve got a feeling they are going to try and shaft us, now that they have had their free publicity”.

When SmartHouse contacted a Kogan executive, we were told there were delays and that the online vouchers the Company is handing out to customers was now $25 dollars and not $100 as some customers claim they were told.

Bazzwong wrote “Whats the bet that the delivery times blow out massively (causing alot of early orders being cancelled by clients hence Bogan not having to give as many $100 discounts/price now is only a $50 discount).”

Ironically Ruslan Kogan, the publicity seeking CEO of Kogan, has declined to be interviewed.

Earlier this week Kogan boasted it would sell Apple’s just-released iPhone 5 for $100 less than the maker of the iPhone itself, Apple.

Not surprisingly the price has now gone up from from $699 to $749 for the 16GB model. Apple is offering the same model for $799.

Shipping is extra.

The expected shipping date for the iPhone 5 from Kogan, which come from an Asia grey exporter, is expected to be the 22nd October.

Some customers are now asking whether it is possible to cancel the order.

Another upset customer wrote “I think Bogan is just a media whore who will say anything to get 5 mins of publicity. I have a few friends who ordered iPhone 5 from Bogan who like me are ordering from them for the 1st time. I know if they screw us this time, this will be the last time any of us ever purchase anything from Bogan”.

Another visitor to Whirlpool wrote “His whole business is based on guerilla style marketing, and people still fell for it. He is going to have a lot of money in the bank earning interest”.
