Intel To Launch 35 Tabs To Hit AMD

The chip giant are to debut at least 10 tablet devices at Taipei this month.The tabs will runs on its Oak Trail processors designed especially for tab devices as it looks to play catch up with chip rivals ARM, which has a virtual monology over market.

And over the year, it will release over 35 different tab version in total.

And Intel will be in good company at the Computex event kicking off at the end of the month, with several other big names including Asus and ViewSonic to showcase their newest answer to the iPad 2.

ViewSonic are debuting the worlds first small screen running Honeycomb 3.0 on 7 Inch tablet.

Intel’s move follows it’s reaffirmation of its a bullish view of the PC market according to the Wall Street Journal, as it moves away from desktops and towards portable devices.

 

This ‘post PC’ world was also confirmed by Hewlett Packard yesterday, who also admitted computer sales had gone soft.
