Sony is releasing its VAIO C Series of design-conscious laptops that combine portability and performance for multimedia on the go.

The C Series hides a Sandy Bridge Intel i5 processor alongside an AMD Radeon 1GB Hybrid Graphics card (on select models) under a 14 or 15.5 inch LED blacklit LCD widescreen to concentrate on smooth 1080p video playback.
The models come in a range of pop-out colours including eye-catchers like primary orange and lime green.
Blu-ray players are in-built on the top of the range models. Extending the multimedia focus is a HD web cam and microphone featuring face tracking to make sure you’re always in focus.
Home networking solutions are incorporated with Intel Wireless Display 2.0 so media can be streamed around the home. Sony is pushing a strong connection between its products with handy features like ‘remote keyboard’ that uses the VAIO laptop’s keyboard to navigate menus on Sony Blu-ray players, BRAVIA TVs and PS3s.
The VAIO C Series will make its US debut on March 13, going up for pre-sale on Sony’s online store and starting at US$880. Australians have until June 30 to get free delivery from the company on all VAIO notebooks on online purchases once the C Series is released locally, but no details are set yet for Australian availability.
