Samsung Reveals Next Gen 7-inch Galaxy Tab With AMOLED Display

Days after Samsung launched their new $995 dollar7-inch Samsung Galay Tab in Australia comes news that the Company is planning to launch a new model with an AMOLED display screen.According to Samsung the current model only has a Super TFT display due to battery life issues.


Yesterday
 Samsung showed a next-gen Galaxy Tab prototype fitted with its latest
Super AMOLED display. The new seven-inch WXVGA 1200×600 display is
currently on display at FPD 2010 which is being held in Japan 

The next generation Galaxy Tab is expected to be go on sale early in 2011.

According
toa  Samsung’s press release the display actually runs at the same
WSVGA 1024 x 600 as the existing LCD TFT screen in the first-gen Galaxy
Tab.

 While
it seems the new panel won’t add any extra pixels to the
second-generation Galaxy Tab, it should be brighter and have more
saturated colors, as well asbetter battery life.
