REVEALED: Samsung Galaxy S II HD ‘Superphone’ Hits OZ

Spotted: 4.65″ Samsung Galaxy S II HD version is now on sale Down Under.
Described as the “an upgraded version of the best selling Android phone of the year”  the S2, the S II Hi-Def version, just spotted on Mobicity’s online shelves, comes with a whopping 4.65″ Super AMOLED HD capacitive display.

That a full 3.5″ bigger screen and the res has far more bang at 1280 x 720 (compared to 4.3″ screen 480 x 800MP on S2) meaning far clearer, brighter and now larger Galaxy screen.

It also has a more potent 1.5GHz dual-core processor meaning faster applications and runs Android Gingerbread 2.3, and best of all it is 4G LTE ready – one of the first smartphones in Australia to have that capability.

The newest Galaxy comes with 16GB of internal storage plus a microSD card slot (for extra memory) and also has Near Field Communication (NFC) technology for tap and go payments, WiFi a/b/g/n and Bluetooth 3.0.

Camera wise it has a 8MP autofocus and LED flash (rear) 2MP (front) and 1850 mAh battery.

The S II HD E120s wont come cheap, selling at $749, comes in black only, and may not appeal to some Samsung fans wanting to hold out for S III due this year or even the Galaxy(s) Note or Nexus.

It comes unlocked and with 12 month warrenty will work on all the main 2G/3G networks including Telstra, Vodafone and Optus. No word if any other retailers here will sell the new device, yet.
