Apple continues the global rollout of its iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus, with its latest generation of smartphones set to arrive in 36 additional countries and territories spanning Europe, Asia, the Middle East, Latin America and Africa by the end of October. The continuing rollout will see the iPhone 6 and 6 Plus available in a total of 69 countries and territories by the end of the month.
The new iPhones are also on track to be available in more than 115 countries by the end of the year, which Apple states makes it its fastest iPhone rollout ever.
Among the countries next on Apple’s list are China, India and Monaco, with a Friday October 17 release date, with more countries to follow in the coming weeks.
Last month, Apple announced it had sold over 10 million iPhone 6 and 6 Plus models in the three days after launch, setting a new record.
As Apple expands its market penetration, Samsung is concurrently rolling out its Galaxy Note 4 in global markets, starting in October.
The 5.7″ Note 4 will take on the 5.5″ 6 Plus, Apple’s first foray into the phablet market, in the increasingly competitive larger-screen smartphone category, with the two smartphone heavyweights battling for market share.
Meanwhile, The Wall Street Journal has reported Google also expects to release its largest smartphone yet this month in the form of the 5.9″ Nexus 6.
