Globalgig Expands Down Under

UK-based Globalgig is launching new low-cost 4G services in Australia and the UK, with Down Under rates starting at $5 a month for 250MB of data.

Other rates include 1GB for A$10, 3GB for A$20, 5GB for A$30 and 10GB for A$50.

All plans are month-to-month postpaid, with no lock-in contracts, and can be used in 39 other countries for either 10 or 25C per MB, Globalgig says.

Flagship Go Global plans cover 70 countries including Australia for 25 cents per MB. 

Offerings included are 250MB for $30, 1GB for $50, and 5GB for $170.

Globalgig will market the plans online and also through a claimed 1400 retail outfits including Dick Smith, Harvey Norman, Coles and The Good Guys.
