Sony has unveiled two new compact cameras, which it touts as the most compact cameras in their class, set to hit the Aussie market in June.The “travel and selfie-friendly” Cyber-shot HX90V and Cyber-shot WX500 both feature a Zeiss Vario-Sonnar T* 30x zoom lens, along with an 18.2 MP Exmor R CMOS sensor and a Bionz X processor.
The HX90V and WX500 are additionally equipped with 5-axis image stabilisation, keeping “pictures blur-free even when exploring the outer limits of the camera’s zoom range whilst shooting movies”.
Both cameras sport 921k-dot LCD screens that tilt up to 180 degrees, Wi-Fi and NFC, and full-HD video recording.
The HX90V additionally features a pop-up OLED Tru-Finder electronic viewfinder, a customisable control ring, and comes with GPS, automatically tagging shots and clips with location information.
The HX90V and WX500 will be priced at $599 SRP and $479 SRP, respectively.
