Nexus 5X And 6P Available In Oz From Next Week

The Nexus 5X and Nexus 6P smartphones are set to land in the Australian market from next week.LG has today advised that the Nexus 5X will be available both online and in-store from November 3, with Huawei separately advising that the Nexus 6P will be available from the same date.

The 5.2″ Nexus 5X sports a full-HD IPS (1920 x 1080) display at 423 ppi, is powered by a 1.8 GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 808 processor, comes with 2 GB LPDDR3 RAM, and is decked out with a 12.3 MP main camera and 5 MP front camera.

The all-metal-body Nexus 6P, meanwhile, sports a 5.7″ WQHD (2560 x 1440) AMOLED display at 518 ppi, is powered by a Snapdragon 810 v2.1, 2.0 GHz octa-core 64-bit processor, comes with 3 GB LPDDR4 RAM

, and is equipped with a 12.3 MP rear camera and 8 MP front camera.

Both the Nexus 5X and Nexus 6P run Android 6.0 Marshmallow, are equipped with USB Type-C ports for fast charging, and include a new fingerprint sensor, Nexus Imprint, designed for quick and secure phone access.

The Nexus 5X, available in three colours, carbon black, ice blue and quartz white (available online only at launch via the Google Store), carries a price tag of $659 RRP for the 16 GB model and $739 RRP for the 32 GB model.

The in-store options for the Nexus 5X are: Telstra, 32 GB in carbon black and ice blue; Harvey Norman, 16 GB and 32 GB in carbon black; JB Hi-Fi, 32 GB in carbon black (JB Hi-Fi will be offering a bonus $50 trade-in during November and December when a customer trades in any working phone for a new Nexus 5X); and other selected resellers, 16 GB and 32 GB in carbon black.

The Nexus 6P (64 GB) will be available at JB Hi-Fi and Harvey Norman stores, retailing at $999 outright. The Nexus 6P (64 GB) will be available to Vodafone users for $5 per month on an $80 Red plan (with customers who purchase the Nexus 6P to receive a free headset, case and Huawei TalkBand B2 while stocks last), with Optus to offer the 32 GB model for $5 on a $60 plan. The Nexus 6P will also be available from $899 (32 GB) via the Google Store.
