GoPro has teamed up with Periscope, allowing users to live-stream from GoPro Hero4 Black or Silver cameras.Twitter-owned Periscope, available for iOS and Android, allows users to broadcast live to the world via their smartphone camera.
iPhone users will now be able to toggle between broadcasting from their iPhone’s camera to their GoPro directly from the phone screen via the touch of a button, with users able to use the Periscope interface to flip between the two different camera angles, setting up a two-camera shot.
Users will need to connect to their GoPro’s Wi-Fi, making sure it is on video mode, and open Periscope on their iPhone and tap the broadcast button, with the GoPro button to automatically be highlighted.
Once live, users can then double-tap to switch between the GoPro and iPhone cameras, while a new button can also lock the phone screen, ensuring nothing is accidentally pressed.
Live broadcasts from GoPro can now also be shared directly to Twitter’s home timeline.
