LG has finally revealed their new Super Bowl OLED and some critics have slammed it.
Trusted Reviews in the UK ran the headline Don’t miss Liam Neeson in LG’s ridiculous Super Bowl ad, while other observers said that the only winners were Ridley Scott’s RSA Films production company, and his son Jake who pocketed millions making the commercial which will go to air during the Super Bowl in the USA.
While Ridley Scott is best known for classic films like Alien, Blade Runner, Gladiator and recent hit The Martian, he also worked on the 1984 commercial for Macintosh that’s widely recognised as the best Super Bowl ad of all time.
The commercial promotes OLED TV technology and stars Liam Neeson as “the man from the future.”
The ad also stars the company’s flagship OLED TV in LG’s first Signature series of ultra-premium home entertainment products and appliances, unveiled at CES.
