Acer Puts A New Spin On Convertible Notebooks

Acer have announced the new Spin 7 convertible notebook featuring a 360-degree hinge for flexibility and versatility.

The Spin 7 is capable of being used as a notebook or tablet, in a “space-saving” display mode, or in a tent mode. With a 10.98mm thin aluminium uni-body weighing 1.2kg, Acer says the Spin 7 is “ideal for work and play.”

“We recognise that there is no such thing as the ‘average person’ anymore, hence why Acer has developed a product that takes into the account the needs of every individual,” said Acer Australia and New Zealand head of marketing Katherine Nguyen.

Other features of the Spin 7 include a 7th Generation Intel Core i7 processor, up to 8GB of RAM, a 256GB SSD and dual USB 3.1 Type-C ports. 802.11ac MU-MIMO wireless connectivity provides a fast and reliable connection, while Acer’s BluelightShield and Colour Intelligence technology help to minimise eye strain and maximise colour saturation.

With a battery life of up to 8 hours, Acer claims the Spin 7 is “truly the perfect accessory for every individual.”

“Our product is unique, just like our customers,” Ms Nguyen said.

Acer’s Spin 7 is available now at JB Hi-Fi, with prices starting at $1,999.
