Alienware Changes The Desktop Game

Alienware’s gaming desktop is gaining a major makeover thanks to the new Aurora R16, available for purchase now, ditching the angular, obtuse design for one that feels a bit more “alien.”

Presenting as a mid tower box, with a massive footprint and large plastic covering, feeling a lot larger than it actually is, and fits in better with standard gaming desktops.

The case is about 40% smaller than the previous design, while maintaining the same 25.2 liter volume, with improved airflow bringing forth a 20% quieter system, and up to 10% lower CPU and 6% lower GPU temperatures.

Air moves through bright stadium lighting, contributing to a 50% improvement in “open airflow ratio.” This means more air is allowed through the sides of the front panels, moving through the case, and exited through the vents on the side panel, and the single rear exhaust.
