How To Earn $20K Dobbing In Your Boss

If you’d like to earn a quick 20 grand by dobbing in your boss – or maybe a former boss who recently let you go – for software piracy, now’s your chance. Until the end of July the Business Software Alliance Australia (BSAA) has quadrupled its usual $5000 reward for dobbing in a pirate.

“We’re offering a special increase during July to try and drive an increase in leads and see if that will bring out more cases,” said BSAA Australia co-chair, Clayton Noble.

To get the $20K, the dobber has to help the BSA construct a legal case, involving lengthy discussions with its lawyers, producing evidence that will stand up in court.

It seems to work. In September 2010, when the $20K reward was last offered, BSAA scored 72 dobs, and five cases resulted in the culprits paying up – in one case alone $150,000, more than covering the five dobber fees.

BSAA invites would be dobbers to visit its “Report Piracy” page at www.bsa.org for further information. But be quick – the offer ends on July 31.
