London-based brand Nothing has unveiled a new blue version of its Ear (open) wireless earbuds, expanding its open wearable stereo (OWS) range with a fresh design aimed at active users and style-conscious consumers.
The updated colourway builds on the blue tones introduced with the company’s Phone (3a) and Phone (4a) devices.
Nothing says the design inspiration came from sports aesthetics including blue tennis courts and gym equipment, combined with retro electronics and transparent art influences.

The Ear (open) earbuds, priced at A$249, use Nothing’s Open Sound Technology, allowing users to hear music while remaining aware of surrounding sounds such as traffic and conversations.
A directional speaker system and ‘Sound Seal’ technology are designed to reduce sound leakage while maintaining audio quality.
Each earbud weighs 8.1 grams, while the charging case measures 19mm thin, positioning the product among the slimmer options in the OWS category. The earbuds also feature silicone ear hooks for stability during activities including running and cycling.

Nothing claims up to 30 hours of total playback with the charging case, while a 10-minute fast charge delivers up to 10 hours of listening time.
Audio features include a custom titanium-coated driver, AI-powered Clear Voice Technology for calls, low-latency mode for gaming and video and dual-device connectivity. The earbuds are rated IP54 for dust and water resistance and have undergone sweat and durability testing.
The Ear (open) also integrates with the Nothing X app for EQ customisation and supports ChatGPT voice interactions when paired with Nothing OS devices.
The launch comes as Nothing continues to expand its ecosystem of design-focused consumer tech products in the Australian market.
