Samsung has expanded its MP3 player range with the launch of two new players that claims to deliver a whole new listening experience.

It also comes equipped with several key functions including EmoDio, Samsung’s new MP3 Media Management Software that provides a viable and user friendly option to get the most out of the Q1’s impressive feature list.
Samsung’s MP3 Product Manager, Lisa Findlay said, “The new Samsung Q1 is a quality device with peerless sound reproduction and first-class video quality. Incorporating the use of LED backlighting on a sleek black finish, the Q1 is a dream entertainment device that is not shy on features, and looks as good as it sounds.”
Allowing for easy upload of all compatible files – music, video, text and images, files can be easily and conveniently sorted into play lists, to suit any mood or situation. Going beyond music, consumers can also easily customise the interface with their own background images, download free album artwork and choose from 13 preset equaliser settings, including Rock, Club, Dance and Street Mode to suit their tastes or unique music collection.
In addition the Q1 uses Samsung’s DNSe 3.0 (Digital Natural Sound engine), an ‘upscaler’ designed to deliver music that is natural and as close to how the artist intended it to sound in its original context.
Other features include: Document to MP3 file conversion, detailed railway and subway maps of major international cities, in-built flash animated games, a voice recorder with an imbedded microphone, FM Radio playback and recording, and up to 30 hours of battery life.

Bar the included headphones, this all-encompassing device eliminates the need for any additional accessories to operate the player’s features. There is no attachment required for FM Radio – the transmitter is squeezed inside – and the in-built microphone means voice and sound recording activates at the press of a button.
The Samsung U4 offers intense music clarity with DNSe 2.0 (Digital Natural Sound engine) Technology. This proprietary sound technology has been developed in include 9 different EQ settings, a 7-band user EQ setting and Street Mode setting so that music comes across clearer in high noise areas.
The user-friendly EmoDio software allows you to “drag and drop” music files, sort play lists, and establish favourite data casts to upload automatically.
With a simple and sleek design, the Samsung U4 is encased in a colourful glossy finish. The 1 inch OLED screen is clear and bright and can display 16 shades of grey so that images come across detailed. LED lighting effects and a sleek, touch based control pad is ideal for style conscious consumers on the go.
Pricing and Availability
The Samsung Q1 is available in stores from early November with an RRP of $209 for the 8GB and $289 for 16GB. The U4 is also available now with an RRP of 4109 (for 4GB).
