100Mbps Fibre To The Home Goes Live

SA-based ISP and broadband provider Internode has launched a retail fibre-to-the-home (FttH) service in new housing estates, offering services at 25, 50 and 100 megabits per second.

SA-based ISP and broadband provider Internode has launched a retail fibre-to-the-home (FttH) service in new housing estates, offering services at 25, 50 and 100 megabits per second.

In partnership with housing estate telco OptiComm, Internode will offer the service at greenfield developments around Australia for retail customers.

OptiComm, a Hills Industries joint venture company, specialises in providing FttH networks for new developments. Internode is delivering retail broadband services over the OptiComm network.

Its first home fibre services will be connected at Fernbrooke, a 1000-home development at Redbank Plains, 32km south-west of Brisbane.

Internode’s FttH service will start at $49.95 a month for a service with a 25Mbps downstream speed and a 5GB download quota.
