If you thought your latest LED panels were bright enough, think again – Silicon Valley tech company Nanosys is claiming it can improve on-screen colours by 50 percent.
Nanosys said its technology helps to improve significantly on what’s currently available on existing LCD panels. The improvements can mean a “richer experience of more viscerally alive reds, a deeper palette of greens, and vivid blues,” Nanosys said.
And the company added that it could deliver better colour with technology already being used in tablets, televisions, and other products.
It said Nanosys technology would run on “the tablet, notebook-sized form factor” at the end of this year while the company is working with a “major consumer goods manufacturer and display manufacturers to make that happen.”
