Asus is dropping its MacBook Air-inspired netbook replacements into Aussie laps this Friday, November 11, but expect to pay at least $1,399 for the ultrathin ultrabook privilege.

These new ultrabooks are tipped on the steep side of the thousand dollar mark, pushing prices as high as just under $2,000, but come in four models to suit different budgets.
At its thinnest point, the Zenbook measures 2.8mm thick and weighs up to 1.3kg. The different models are powered by either Intel Core i5 or i7 processors alongside 4GB of DDR3 RAM, but no independent graphics card (thanks to the slim build).
The Zenbook boasts being the thinnest Ultrabook ahead of recently released models like the Acer Aspire which has a lower price floor but also a higher price on its top model, pushing over $2000.
In fitting with the slim profile, hard disk drives are swapped out for solid state drives of up to 256GB capacities.

It also houses a slew of top-notch add-ons like USB 3.0 ports, Bluetooth V4.0, USB charging, Bang & Olufsen ICEpower speakers, and a quick boot-up time.
