Motorola’s new Razr is available from Optus as of today, and we’re happy to report if any droid deserved to dethrone Apple’s iPhone 4S, it’d be this one.

It also has an 8-megapixel camera complemented by a LED flash and capable of Full HD1080p recording. Video playback is fantastic on its 4.3″ 16million colour qHD screen and the fact that it’s water, scratch and dust resistant separates it from the myriad of smartphone front-runners.
It runs on Android’s Gingerbread OS, putting its top-notch hardware to work with the versatility 250,000 applications offer, and Optus has been lucky enough to offer it exclusively.
Optus will be offering the Razr $0 upfront on their $59 cap over 24 months. The cap offers $750 of included value (national calls and texts), 2GB of internet data and over 2 years will cost $1416.
It’s also available on their $79 cap, which ups the call/text value to $900 while the data climbs to 3GB a month. Over two years, it’ll set budding Razr owners back $1896, but on the plus side the phone will come with a matching dock that converts in into a GPS and computing counterpart.
The Razr is a special phone, feeling different to other droids thanks to Motorola’s intuitive software tweaks. Check out our review before heading into an Optus store.
