Optus Beats Telstra To Galaxy S6 But “Do Not Touch” The New S6 Edge

Optus has beaten Telstra to the punch with several of their stores now selling the Samsung Galaxy S6 and S6 Edge in NSW, however retail staff in their North Sydney store who are “fed up” of customers picking up the new showpiece smartphone have taken to putting stickers next to the phone warning people “not to touch” the new Samsung models.

When we asked management in the store why they had taken to using do not touch stickers they said that they were “fed up of resetting the alarms” on the devices.

When we asked how they intended customers to view the device they said “They can look at it”.

They also said they they had stock and were ready to do deals.

At the Telstra store in North Sydney there was no Galaxy S6 or S6 Edge on sale.

Store staff said that their models will go on display tomorrow and “even then we will not have stock to sell” a staff member said.

Earlier this week we revealed how Telstra staff were wrapping the new HTC One M9 in a black security band which stopped consumers getting access to the new model smartphone which retails for $999.

Staff at the Robina Telstra shop in Queensland also had the power to both the display model HTC One M9 smartphones turned off so did Vodafone staff.
