Android 4.0 For Tablets Due Soon

Several tablet vendors are set to roll out Android 4.0 updates, among them is Motorola, Acer, Toshiba and Samsung. While we have not been able to establish a precise date for the upgrades we have been told that new tablets due from April onwards will come with the Ice Cream Sandwich software already loaded.

Android 4.0, the converged OS for Android smartphones and tablets, delivers faster web browsing, easier multitasking, rich notifications, customisable home screens, resizable widgets, and improved social media integration, Google said recently.

It also features improved text input and spell checking, voice input, and a redesigned Gallery app with photo editor.
