Apple announced that its new iOS 4 software is now available for download. This new operating system works with the iPhone 3G, 3GS, and soon to be released iPhone 4, although the company stated that not all features are compatible with all devices.

According to the company, some of the new features include multitasking, 5x digital zoom, iBooks, unified inbox, folders, create playlists, and home screen wallpaper.
In order to get the new iOS 4, users must download the latest version of iTunes, connect the iPhone to the computer, and download and update the software. Users are also advised to keep their phones plugged in until the download has finished.
However, Apple has reminded users in a post that not all features are compatible with all devices.
“For example, multitasking is available only with iPhone 4 and iPhone 3GS,” said the company.
