Apple Makes Its Apps Available For Free

Apple is offering some of its iOS and Mac apps for free to all users.

The apps included in Apple’s office suite iWork (equivalent to Microsoft Office and Google Docs) are now free on all supported Mac computers and iOS devices, including word processor Pages, spreadsheet app Numbers and presentation software Keynote.

Video editing app iMovie and music editing app GarageBand are also available for free on both Mac and iOS.

Previously, these apps had cost up to $14.99 each on iOS and up to $30.99 each on Mac.

Mac Rumors noted that the apps had already been free for new iOS and Mac devices purchased since 2013, but listing them as free for all users would extend access to older devices as well as simplify installation for educational and enterprise users.
