Asus has unveiled the Eee Pad Transformer, a convertible tablet which will run on Google’s Android 3.0 “Honeycomb” operating system.
the tablet has a 10.1 inch touch-IPS-display with a resolution of 1280 x 800 resolution, LED-backlit and support for 10-finger multitouch. The screen is protected from getting damaged with scratch-resistant glass Gorilla Glass.
The list of features of the tablet also includes a dual-core NVIDIA Tegra 2 processor, 1 GB RAM, 16 or 32 GB of internal memory, Wi-Fi 802.11 b / g / n, Bluetooth 2.1 + EDR, GPS, plus two cameras – one 1.2 MP front camera and the one on the back is a 5-megapixel camera with autofocus.

One big difference is an optional qwerty keyboard docking station, which effectively turns the Transformer into a laptop computer. The dock boosts the Transformer’s claimed 9.5 hours of battery life up to a claimed 16 hours.
An Asus spokesman said the company will announce a ship date, pricing and available configurations for the North American market on March 31. It has previously said that the basic tablet will cost between $499 and $699 in the US.
