Following yet another outage of its online systems, the Australian Taxation Office (ATO) said it will provide a fix to avoid any further occurrences. The agency’s system failed last Friday, but the
problem was resolved that afternoon, an ATO spokeswoman said, adding that
internally the event was seen as a “minor disruption”.
The Tax Office took its systems offline to conduct a “critical system
maintenance” over the weekend as the agency sought to restore its systems.
Tax Commissioner Chris Jordan announced an independent review into last year’s
“unprecedented failure” and called it the ATO’s “worst unplanned
system outage in recent memory”.
So no great worry, it seems .
