Code-named Alauno, this is the latest bathroom technology innovation from Matsushita Electric (parent group of Panasonic).
Alauno is what Matsushita claims to be a tankless toilet system with a fully-automated cleaning function. It features a combination of new organic glass material and the ‘Gekiochi Bubble’ cleansing method to eliminate the need for toilet scrubbing for three months.
It is also environmentally friendly, the company says, as it features the industry’s lowest water and electricity usage.
The company is taking orders for these high-tech loos as of this month, unfortunately, they are only available in Japan at the moment, retailing for JPY 270 000 – 399 000. Matsushita’s sales target is 3000 units per month for the first year.
