Visual technology specialists, BenQ, have released three new monitors, with two featuring BenQ’s top-notch VA-LED screens at affordable prices.
Last week, BenQ launched three new screens designed for
professional gamers,
and this week, BenQ is launching three more monitors for the everyday computing market. Coming in 22, 23 an 27-inch sizes, BenQ has styled the 22-inch in white, and the other two in black, promising a “sleek, fluid design” meant to add technological flair and style compatible with the contemporary d?cor of modern homes and offices.

First up is BenQ’s 22-inch monitor, the VW2235, which retails for AUD $179.
Coming in “pure white”, it has been designed to “embody simple living and eco-friendly sophistication”, and taking a leaf from Apple’s design book, promises to offer a “clean, crisp finish with no markings, branding or coating of any kind” – unusual for today’s vendors, and a welcome sign.
BenQ says the VW2235 “responds to a call from corporate enterprise for more attractive looking computer hardware, to promote a sense of style and fashion in the contemporary office environment”, as well as fitting into the “urban environment, where computers are more commonly being positioned in common areas of the home such as kitchens and family rooms.”
Equipped with BenQ’s excellent VA-LED panel, the VW2235 is being billed as a “perfect companion to the MacBook, faithfully preserving the colour quality of a Macbook display so that users can enjoy the view of their Macbook on a larger screen”.
It has “true 8-bit colour performance, 3000:1 native contrast ratio for colour depth and Flicker-free technology ensuring eye comfort when viewing content on the monitor”.
Second on the list is BenQ’s giant 27-inch monitor,
the GL2760H, which retails for AUD $285.

Also equipped with a VA-LED 16:9 panel, it offers a “slim, sleek bezel and a dynamic contrast ratio of 12M:1, flicker-free technology for eye comfort and a response time of 2ms.
The ultra-high dynamic contrast ratio of 12M:1 adds “colour depth and definition to darkened and complex motion pictures, producing the brightest whites to the darkest blacks in perfectly rendered detail”, while smooth picture performance is assured whether you’re watching a movie or playing video games, although pro gamers may well be tempted by the professional gaming monitors linked to above and launched
last week.
The 2ms response time plays a part in the picture quality, delivering “speed without the smear”, so that fast-moving action and dramatic transitions are rendered smoothly, without ghosting.
Billed as ideal for office or home use, it is said to be “particularly suited to anyone wanting a monitor catering well to a variety of entertainment pursuits.”
Third on the list is the 23-inch
VZ2350M,
retailing for AUD $199, and is the only one of the three to come with a standard IPS LCD panel, rather than BenQ’s even nicer VA-LED panels.
Also featuring a “slim bezel design”, it has a whopping 20M:1 Dynamic Contrast Ratio for “added depth and definition to darkened and complex visuals”, along with “Flicker-free technology” for added eye comfort.
